No, at this time the labs hold functionality is universal for all your clients and all your lab tests. We do not have the ability to select individual clients or labs to be held.

No, once you have released a lab to a client, that action cannot be reversed.
How long do we have the ability to hold our clients’ lab results?
Providers have up to 30 days to release the lab results to their clients. If any results are not manually released by the Provider within 30 days, they will be automatically released to the clients by the portal.
Are my clients’ entitled to see their lab results if they request so?
Yes, if any clients request release of their lab test results, under HIPAA, results must be released to them immediately whether that be via EquiLife or via their Provider.
What happens if I don’t manually release the lab result?
All held lab results will automatically be released to the client after 30 days, in accordance with our release policy.
Where should I view previous lab results information?
Click on the “Labs” link on the left hand navigation. Current and past Lab Results, Registration Intake Forms, and lab status updates are displayed through that link.
What communications do clients’ see on their end when their lab results are in, but their Provider has held the lab results from being released?
When client lab results are received by EquiLife, the client will be notified that they have a lab test result “pending review by their Provider.” As the Provider, you will also be notified when client lab results are available for review.
As a Provider, can I email my clients their lab results information?
No, email is not a compliant vehicle to transmit, send or share health information. Providers must only share their health information and their lab test results with their clients via a secure HIPAA designed health portal, such as the EquiLife Healt
As Providers, are we obligated to hold our clients’ lab results? Or can we release our clients’ lab results to our clients as soon as the results are available?
No, you are not obligated to hold lab results for review and they may continue to be released immediately to the client at your discretion.
Will Providers & Clients have the ability to see comparative results over the course of time for specific tests?
Yes, the comparative functionality is included in our development plan and we expect that to be live in late 2024.
